In contrast to yesterday's photos of sculptural heads these look unsettled and abandoned. But I love the photo both for the heads and also for the many textures, patterns and shapes that are part of it.

- My earlier work explored the concept of reflection and how to capture the essence of images that are not physically there, images made of light and movement, images that are infinitely variable. What does the eye see? What does the camera see? What does the mind see? Reflection continues to be my theme. It is what I do throughout my work process as well as what I hope viewers do as they look at the completed work. My newest series is an interpretation of natural images by enlarging and reshaping them. I continue to look at the play of light upon surfaces, and shaping the pieces introduces a new element – light and shadow interacting with the undulating surfaces. I began quilting in 1996 and rediscovered the pleasure of working with cloth, paint, dye, and thread. My background is in visual design. I take lots of photos of found objects, shadows, tactile details. I am pursuing an Ecological restoration certification to enhance my continuing love for the out of doors and all things horticultural. These have had a strong influence on the direction of my work. My work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is in many collections.
