Serendipity

This image was so serendipitous. I opened the passenger door on my car and the light coming in the garge threw the car window image up on the wall. Soooo, what an opportunity to have a shadow image! I love that the it looks like it is floating in space and is so luminous.

A sea of color

Several friends and I went to The Garden Conservancy walk on Sunday and saw several beautiful gardens. One of them had this wonderful sea of flowers stretching into the distance.

Leaf light

I like the luminosity of the light coming through the leaves in this shady area.

More vines

Another sweet potato vine - I like the long sweeping leaves on this one.

Chartreuse (again!)

It is turning into foliage week! This is my very bright sweet potato vine with other flowers peeking through. A nice study in contrast.

Pointillist painting

This is one of my favorite coleus this year. It is all spotty with varied colors and reminds me of a pointillist painting.

Clouds

The sky has been ever changing and beautiful this week.

Blowing curtains

It takes a moment to see it but these are blowing curtains shot from below. I love that the sky color is a tint of the curtain color!

I like this pattern - the regularity of it's repeat but the differences in it's individual tiles.

Red crackled lacquer creates an interesting overall pattern which I may try to play with for a background on something.

Stacked roof tiles make an undulating pattern when shot from the side.

Graffiti on a boxcar. I took a LOT of photos of this train - more to come in the next few days.

Hose manipulation

Manipulating a photo of my watering hose on the deck. I like the calligraphic feel of it.

One last try

My third try at this image of glass circles on a wall - can not get the luminosty but I do like the color and movement created by all these little pieces!

Trying to capture the glass circle image from yesterday from another angle - even less luminoisty but nice movement!

Swirl

Colored glass circles create a staircase wall in a downtown building. I could not capture the true luminousity of the glass.

Shadow and pattern, again!

Early morning walk

Early in the morning the sun throws very long shadows of the grass and other plants along the sidewalk. The plants look much more impressive in their shadows!

Ferns

I have been gathering ferns and flattening them to scan and make screens for new projects. I like the results on this one.

Queen Anne's Lace

A sure sign of summer is Queen Anne's lace swaying in the breeze. This altered photo captures some of that feeling.

An unexpected sight

Walking in the woods I come very close (maybe too close) to this deer. His antlers were beautfiul, soft and fuzzy and the edges glowed in the sunlight. He could have cared less that I was standing on the path watching him.
