Going nowhere
Timing is everything. I am supposed to be on the way to Palm Desert today for a month of sun and fun. But becasue we are in the midst of yet another snowstorm that plan has been changed to leaving tomorrow instead. It is hard to imagine a place that is warm and sunny right now! So I have been looking at some photos I took the last time I was there to revive my imagination. This is the first one - the color green, not white or grey but green. I can't wait to see green!
And blue, water and sun on water, and rippling water. Blue would be great.

Butterfly blue
Yesterday while walking I saw this beautiful butterfly along the side of the road. The scallop pattern aorund the wing tips is striking and he glowed against the leaves and stones. I need to look up what kind it is.

Blue and gold
The hangars at the airport are a couple of different colors depending on the row. I like this combination of the blue hangar with the gold hangar reflected in it. Also all the various patterns.

O'Casey's Bed and Breakfast - Sunday
When I come to San Antonio I stay at O'Casey's Bed and Breakfast - many of the Art Cloth Studio students stay here. It's fun to be together in one place and we can walk to the studio if the weather cooperates. The summer furniture is sitting out (which as somone from the frozen north I find amazing!) This glider has an accumulation of detritus on it which the detail photo shows below. It looks like a map of the world to me.

Another photo taken from the high rise. The bank of clouds sat out over the lake all day and throughout the day the line of dark and light fluctuated back and forth - at times the clouds and the lake all became one.
