Observations About LIfe - A Journals Presentation

Yersterday I did a presentation for First Congregational Church in Crystal Lake, IL. lt was called Observations About Life: Journals, Sketchbooks, Diaries, Blogs and More...  It was a well attended event and I had lots of samples both in a Powerpoint presentation and also real items. Below is one of the journals that I showed.

A wonderful story came out of event - a woman whose mother is 99 (and who had written travel journals thorughout her earlier life) reads them to her now. It is something that her Mom remembers well even though her present day memory is not so good anymore. I like knowing that I may get to "read/hear" my journals again down the road!

Home again

I am home from my week of fun and sun in San Antonio. It was a week filled with creative energy, renewing old friendships and making new ones, and enjoying a place where the sun shone and the air was warm and inivting. Now it is back to reality!

I have ideas to explore in the studio and I will post some of them as I go along. Also getting ready for an upcoming presentation called Journals, Notebooks, Sketchbooks, Diaries, Blogs… Observations About Life. A visual presentation about journaling and the many beautiful and creative ways that people do it.
