SAQA Trunk Show entry
The Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA) is putting together a new trunk show that will travel all around the world. It's an interesting concept. They mount the small quilt pieces (all the same size) in plastic sleeves with the information about each artist and techniques used on the flip side. About 50 pieces are included in each of the trunks and then the trunks travel to the various regions and are displayed at Guild meetings, libraries and many other venues. It is a great opportunity to show a vairety of approaches to art quilting and because the pieces are small and protected they can be handled which is very intriguing to viewers. This is my entry called Angels in Puerto Vallarta. It is digitally printed from photos I took there and then I added more stitching to the collage.
