Quilt National 2013 Opening

Patternmakers
Something is chewing little patterns into the these leaves. I am fascinated that they are not just "holes" but these precise little geometric shapes. They look a bit like hieroglyphics.

Leaf Bowl
I have a large openwork black metal bowl that sits on the dining room table. I love this bowl - the shape, the pattern, the shadows that it throws on the tabletop. Periodically, I take new pictures of it when I see it in a new way. Here is a detail from the bowl.

O'Casey's Bed and Breakfast - Sunday
When I come to San Antonio I stay at O'Casey's Bed and Breakfast - many of the Art Cloth Studio students stay here. It's fun to be together in one place and we can walk to the studio if the weather cooperates. The summer furniture is sitting out (which as somone from the frozen north I find amazing!) This glider has an accumulation of detritus on it which the detail photo shows below. It looks like a map of the world to me.
