Layers of light
I shot through one of my transparent pieces toward the window at the studio and got layers of light and clouds drifting across the image. In honor of Nancy Merkling, it's all about the light!

Red, red, red
The remains fo the red paint from wokring on my Women's Journeys in Fiber mask. I like the way the spray seems to be moving off the page. I might like this image better then the real thing!

Reflection detail
A detail from one of the newer reflection pieces. Sometimes I think I should just make the detail be the whole piece and I would like the result better.

Rush Creek tree stumps
A walk through the woods today yielded a number of newly cut tree stumps with beautiful patterns.
I can already see that this one might make a wonderful piece of art cloth.

Another manipulation of the snow fence shadows. I may play with this one in a Kalediscope app and see what happens as well. Could be fun!

Farewell to snow fencing
I think I have seen the last of the snow around here - I hope so. I took a number of photos of snow fencing shadows this winter and have been manipulating the images to see where it might lead. I like some of the results - a few more to follow.

More kimono play
I am just playing around some more with the kimono scrap images. I like the dimension in this one as well as the flow of the calligraphy.

Kimono play
I have a number of small handmade paper cards with scraps of kimono attached. I have been recombining the images in Photoshop and seeing what new ideas come from it. This panel will be transferred to Spoonflower and I will see what the various possibilities are. Watch this space!

Line Dance detour
I have been working on a series called Line Dance based on tree rings and tree stump images. I saw these two wood scraps and thought hmmmmmm. Right now Inthink with the color manipulations they look like land images from a satellite. More experiments to come.

Look again
This phenomenon of having sunlight coming through the windows is turning up more intriguing images late in the day. Larry's bifocals look far more intersting to me this way then when I last looked at them on the dresser!
