This is one of the new pieces that I have just completed based on photos of tree ring slices. I work with the image in Photoshop Elements, print through Spoonflower, and then go into the piece and start adding additional paint and stitching. This is part of new series and I have much to explore. I like these pieces because they seem like large abstracts canvases to me. This one is 54 inches wide x 68 inches tall. It is printed on a cotton canvas so there is texture in the material to begin with and I have backed it very stiffly so they feel like paintings. It was not fun stitching on this AT ALL.
