Last fall, in honor of my 70th birthday, family and friends gave me a great present. Seven oak trees from the Land Conservancy were planted in my honor at Ryder's Woods in Woodstock. We got to go and help plant them and help create a new savanna area. Yesterday, we went to visit them and see if they had survived the winter. They are flourishing! I took photos of each so we can track their growth each year. It's a great legacy - they will be going strong when I am long gone and will contribute so much back to this earth.
